Team members – Clinical field
Michel Tousignant, pht, PhD.
Pr Tousignant is a physiotherapist, professor at the readaptation school of the Université de Sherbrooke and researcher at the Research Center on Aging (CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS). As the leader of the research chair on telerehabilitation (2010-2020), he drove multiple projects to evaluate feasibility and efficiency of telerehabilitation sessions on various population and health conditions. OpenTeraPlus was developed to support those projects.
Karina Lebel. ing., PhD
Pre Lebel is an engineer, professor at the engineering faculty of the Université de Sherbrooke and researcher at the Reseach Centre on Aging (CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS).
Livia Pinheiro Carvalho. pht, PhD
Pre Carvalho is a physiotherapist, readaptation school of the Université de Sherbrooke and researcher at the Research Center on Aging (CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS). Her work is focused on the use of telerehabilitation with patients suffering from Parkinson disease, neuro-muscular-skeletal issues and long-term COVID.
Dahlia Kairy. pht, PhD
Pre Kairy is a physiotherapist, professor at the readaptation school of the Université de Montréal and researcher at the Centre de recherche interdisciplinaire en réadaptation du Montréal métropolitain (CRIR). Her work is focused on ethical and equity issues related on the use of telerehabilitation and serious games in a telehealth context.

Simon Brière, eng. M.Sc.A.
Simon Brière is a computer engineer at the Research Center on Aging (CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS). His background in health informatics and his multi-disciplinary approach combining clinical aspects and engineering allowed the creation of multiple software, including OpenTeraPlus, used in research but also by healthcare providers.
Dominic Létourneau, eng. M.Sc.A.
Dominic Létourneau is a computer engineer at 3IT (Université de Sherbrooke), in the IntRoLab laboratory. His robotics expertise and in software integration largely contributed to the development of the telehealth platform OpenTeraPlus.
Antoine Guillerand, technician
Antoine Guillerand is a technician at the Research Center on Aging (CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS). He brings his expertise in various tests of the OpenTeraPlus plateform, assists projects deployment and supports the end-users.
François Michaud, ing, PhD
Pr Michaud is an engineer, professor at the engineering faculty of the Université de Sherbrooke and director of the strategic group INTER, which has as a structural mandate the development of the OpenTeraPlus platform.
Team members – Coordination
Catherine Pagé, MSc.
Catherine Pagé is the team coordinator. She coordinates the various research and implantation activities related to telerehabilitation, ensures the follow-ups between the team members and is the main contact point for each telerehabilitation related question.
